THE PERFECT PREP
THE GLOSS BRIDE PREP
THE GLOSS BRIDE PREP
Six months before the wedding you will want to make sure you are starting a skincare regimen. DO NOT SKIP THIS! By having a concrete skincare plan, you allow your makeup artist to have the most perfect canvas to work on for the wedding day.
Not only will you want glowing skin for your wedding day, you’ll also want to meet with your hairstylist to make sure you’ll have the perfect wedding hair color. Talk to your hairstylist and discuss your plans on how you would like to wear your hair for your wedding so they can strategically place color, add dimension, and work towards your wedding hair color dreams.
If you think you’ll need clip in extensions, be sure to talk to your bridal stylists so that you will have them in time for your bridal preview. Extensions are a GAME CHANGER and typically recommended for most hair stylists!
You’ll want to schedule your hair and makeup preview 2-3 months before the wedding. Because weekends are nearly impossible to schedule your preview around due to stylists being booked with weddings, our Gloss Girls recommend scheduling your preview around a dress fitting.
Typically dress fittings are during the week so it is a great opportunity to schedule your hair and makeup preview the same day as the dress fitting. Scheduling around a dress fitting will allow you to see your entire bridal vision come to life!
When you come in for a preview make sure you wear a similar top that resembles your dress neck line. Make sure to bring inspo pictures, any hair accessories/ hair extensions and also if you have a favorite lipstick color bring that too!
THE GLOSS GIRL GLOW UP
Here is our recommendation of the final appointments you’ll want to book leading up to your wedding day!
Brows waxed and shaped in the beginning of the week.
Hydrafacial in the beginning of the week.
Nails and pedicure in the middle of the week (PEDICURE MUST BE BEFORE AIRBRUSH TAN).
Airbrush tan should be 1-2 days before the wedding (REMINDER: You can not get wet at least 6-8 hours after airbrush).
A professional blowout should be performed 1 day before the wedding (perfect opportunity to get gorgeous bouncy hair for your rehearsal dinner).
The night before the wedding reinforce with your bridesmaids the time they have to arrive by per the stylists. Apply moisturizer to your skin, lip balm and even use dry shampoo in your hair. GET REST!
ITS FINALLY HERE!
Wake up earlier than the stylists arrival time. Ensure all large tables are cleared off for your stylists to set up on. Also make sure all your bridal party arrives promptly with clean moisturized faces and clean FULLY dried hair.
Collect any payments from bridesmaids that need to be paid out to stylists and give to the stylists upon arrival. Towards the end of the morning, things start to get hectic so being proactive for payment helps lessen the stress!
Most importantly for the day of, HAVE FUN! Try to relax and put on your favorite music (the stylists will appreciate it too).
Be prepared for pictures/videos and content from our stylists. We love glamming everyone up and showcasing how amazing our jobs are. The Gloss Girls truly love being a part of your wedding day!
